Police search for USPS driver after man killed in Hell's Kitchen hit-and-run
HELL'S KITCHEN, Manhattan (WABC) -- Police are searching for a U.S. Postal Service driver after a 66-year-old man was struck and killed in Hell's Kitchen Saturday morning.
The crash happened just after 5:30 a.m. on Ninth Avenue between West 54th and West 55th streets.
Police say the 66-year-old man was crossing Ninth Avenue mid-block when he was struck by a USPS truck.
The driver did not remain at the scene, according to police.
The victim was taken to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
No arrests have been made.
The NYPD Highway Collision Investigation Squad is investigating.
